
Steven Sanders

Steven received his undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University while working as an Athletic Trainer with high-school, college (NCAA Division I Swimming, Football, and Basketball), and professional level athletes (Toronto Argonauts, CFL). After graduating in 1992, Steven earned his MPT degree in 1996 from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. He began his career in Physical Therapy specializing in outpatient Orthopedics, while earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine in 2006. Steven is part owner of the Progressive Physical Therapy and Wellness Center. He works full time in the clinic, as well as part-time instructing other licensed physical therapists around the country in continuing education toward the credentials of Certified Integrative Manual Therapist (CIMT) with Great Lakes Seminars (see glseminars.com/ cervical-thoracic instructors). Steven was certified in Dry Needling by the Spinal Manipulation Institute in 2013.
Recently, Steven is working toward an Osteopractic Certification with the Spinal Manipulation Institute.

John Olsen
PT, MPT

John graduated with a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota / certification as an Exercise Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine in 1997. He worked as an Exercise Physiologist for 3 years, conducting cardiac stress tests and cardiac rehabilitation. John graduated in 2002 from the University of Minnesota with a Master of Physical Therapy. During his graduate school education, he co-authored a study on scapular kinematics (published in the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Vol 84, Sept. 2003) He is a Certified Manual Specialist in the treatment of thoracic, lumbar and pelvic ring dysfunction with International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine. John is also certified in Dry Needling. John is part owner of Progressive Physical Therapy.

Michelle Sanders
PT, CIMT

Michelle graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1992. With employment through the years in acute care, home health care, and outpatient orthopedics; and continuing education in the McKenzie program, osteopathic techniques, and myofascial release, she has studied under several of the original modern manual therapists. Michelle has continued on to earn the Certified Integrated Manual Therapist title from Great Lakes Seminars, which trains therapists to “assess dysfunction from a whole-body perspective.” During the past 5 years, Michelle has trained in a 200-hour yoga teacher certification, utilizing these yoga techniques as well to contribute to a unique and eclectic system for treating patients. This combination of techniques integrates holistic knowledge of mind and body to partner with each individual, maximizing health and well-being. Michelle is part owner of Progressive Physical Therapy.

Marie Olsen
Clinic Administrator
Born and raised in North Branch, Minnesota. Marie moved to Arizona in 2001 with her husband and daughter in pursuit of the sun. She has a passion for geriatric care with 7 years of experience in nursing home, home healthcare, and hospice settings. As Clinic Administrator at Progressive Physical Therapy for over 20 years, Marie applies her skills to manage the office staff and adopt clinic protocols, while maintaining insurance and therapist contracting, supervising patient accounts, and monitoring varying insurance requirements. She enjoys observing first-hand the recovery and pain relief experienced by patients through the skilled physical therapists on staff. Outside of the office she enjoys running, gardening, and spending time with her husband and 3 daughters. Marie is part owner of Progressive Physical Therapy.

John J. Quintinskie Jr.
PhD, PTA
John is originally from Seattle Washington. He received a B.A. in Kinesiology and M.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Washington and a PhD in Exercise Biochemistry from Washington State University. He has worked in physical rehabilitation in a number of capacities over the course of his career. He has been the director of a cardiac rehabilitation program in Ocala Florida and worked in various capacities in strength and condition, fitness and nutrition and diabetes education at various times in his career. He also is the inventor of the SHARQ shoulder and rotator cuff stretching machine and developer of the comfortable tension stretching system (CTS/LLPS). He is currently working towards improving his skills at manual therapy techniques and hopes to one day become a certified manual specialist.

Beth Richards
PTA, Orthopedic Manual Therapist
Beth graduated from Mid-America Nazarene University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and Psychology. In 2015, she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Pima Medical Institute. Beth has been a Physical Therapist Assistant at Progressive Physical Therapy for the past 15 years and specializes in manual therapy of the spine, pelvis, and extremities. She has previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility focusing on acute/subacute rehabilitation and outpatient , orthopedics. Beth plans to pursue further education and become a certified manual therapist.

Fiona Coyle
PT, MPT
Fiona is originally from Victoria, Australia. She graduated from Sydney University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and obtained her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2017. Fiona received her United States physical therapy license in 2020 after completing studies through St. Augustine and Duke Universities. Over the years Fiona has gained experience in a variety of rehabilitation services and now focuses on orthopedic rehabilitation. Prior to moving to the US, Fiona was a senior physical therapist in outback central Australia, where her team provided the only therapy service for people within a 500-mile radius. Fiona combines her passion for helping people achieve their physical best with her training in a variety of manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.

Mia Rogers
PT, DPT
Mia earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Northern Arizona University in 2024, and enjoys working in a variety of settings including in-patient intensive rehabilitation, home health and outpatient orthopedics. Her physical therapy practice is informed by her undergraduate studies in Public Health at the University of Arizona and her decade of experience as a dance instructor for all ages. Mia believes physical therapy is a universal tool, and she is passionate about the power of leveraging movement to promote healing, relieve pain, restore function and improve overall wellbeing. She utilizes a variety of hands-on techniques, muscular re-education and targeted exercise to help people achieve their unique mobility goals.

Nadine Blixt
PTA
Nadine is originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but has lived in several states throughout the Midwest. Most recently, she and her husband made a permanent move to Arizona after 6 years in Northern Minnesota.
After over 25 yeas of utilizing her bachelor of Social Work degree to help people in the human services and education realms, Nadine decided to pursue a new career path. She received her Associates degree in Physical Therapy from Northeast Wisconsin Technical University in 2019 and began working immediately as a PTA.
Most of her experience has been in the outpatient clinic setting, although she has treated patients in skilled nursing facilities.
Nadine enjoys helping patients achieve their goals and improve their level of functioning. Her focus is largely exercised-based, but she is excited to have the opportunity to expand her skills in myofascial and manual techniques.

Jessica S. Ransom
PTA
Jessica is a healthcare professional with over two decades of experience in physical therapy and clinical operations. Originally from Southern Ohio, she relocated to Arizona in 2007, where she has continued to grow her career in healthcare leadership and patient care.
Jessica earned her Associate Degree in Physical Therapy in 2001, followed by a Bachelor of Science in 2002 from Shawnee State University. She began her career as a Physical Therapist Assistant, gaining extensive hands-on experience across a variety of healthcare settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital environments, skilled nursing facilities and specialty physician practices.
Throughout her career, Jessica has demonstrated a strong aptitude for leadership, playing a key role in the development, launch, and management of multiple clinical facilities. Her expertise spans both clinical care delivery and operational management, allowing her to effectively bridge patient care with organizational efficiency.
In 2025, Jessica earned her Master of Science in Health Administration from Champlain College, further strengthening her leadership and strategic planning capabilities. She specializes in opening and optimizing outpatient treatment centers, with a focus on delivering high-quality care, improving patient outcomes, and building sustainable healthcare operations.
